Did YHWH Really Harden Pharaoh's Heart and Take Away His Freewill?

One word for hardened in Hebrew is Strong's 2388 chazaq, and means to strengthen.

Another word in Hebrew for hardened is Strong's 3513 kabad and means to be oppressive.

Lets see how these definitions apply before the Hebrew becomes completely translated.

Exodus 9:12 - And the LORD hardened (chazaq - strengthened) the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

Exodus 10:20 - But the LORD hardened (chazaq - strengthened) Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

Exodus 9:34 - And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart (kabad - made it oppresive), he and his servants.

Exodus 8:32 - And Pharaoh hardened (kabad - made oppresive) his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

YHWH never takes away anyone's freewill - but always allows them to make their own choices. Here, YHWH actually encouraged Pharaoh, yet Pharaoh still resisted.

If you notice Exodus 10:20 says, "But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go." So it makes it appear that YHWH strengthened/hardened Pharaoh's heart so that he would resist and keep the Hebrews captive. Yet, when you look at the Hebrew interlinear version, it actually says:

What the Hebrew Interlinear Version says is that YHWH strengthened Pharaoh's heart and Pharaoh would not let the children go - not that YHWH strengthened it SO THAT Pharaoh would not let the children go.

It Strong's Concordance, Exodus 10:20 looks like this:

Exd 10:20 - But the LORD 3068 hardened 2388 Pharaoh's 6547 heart 3820, so that he would not let the children 1121 of Israel 3478 go 7971 .

Notice that the phrase so that he would not let the children all falls under the concordance number 1121? The Hebrew word for that number is ben, and ben means son or children. So if it was translated just as it was written in Hebrew, according to the Strong's Concordance - it would say something like this, "YHWH strengthened Pharaoh's heart, children of Israel go."

The translators had to make it fit as best as they could to make sense, and they found "would not let the children go" to be the best way, but YHWH never forced Pharaoh to do anything.
