I decided today to do a small study of the rivers coming forth from Eden.
I discovered that:
River is nahar נָהַר and means radiant light.
Pison פִּישׁוֺן means increase.
Gihon גִּיחוֺן means bursting forth.
Hiddekel חִדֶּקֶל means rapid.
Euphrates פְּרָת means fruitfulness.
If we put these words in an order, they can mean:
A radiant light burst forth rapidly increasing in fruitfulness.
We read in Proverbs 6:23, "For the commandment is a lamp; and the Torah is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life," and in Isaiah 8:20, "To the Torah and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
So the Torah is God's Light.
Yeshua is the Light of the World (John 8:12), and He is also the Word (John 1:1)
We we join to Him, and become members of His body, we also become the light of the world (Matthew 5:14).
His light burst forth rapidly, as Genesis 1:3 says, "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light" and through us (the members of the Body) it has increased in fruitfulness.
Isaiah 55:11 tells us, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
None of YHWH's Words are void. They all mean something, and have an important message in them, and they all increase in fruitfulness.
